The focus on the irises of the eyes in this photo is simply spectacular. Even with the JPEG resolution, it stands up to viewing with a magnifier. Matching this precision was impossible without the Messraster until the latest full-sensor top of the line auto-focusing cameras, and even then, few auto-focusing points/areas are small enough to focus solely the iris of the eye.
