I forget his last name as I always called him Stefan. He was one of my first portrait sessions, when I was more experimental. I had the Messraster in my 2 1/4 square Hasselblad (but was not yet used to it) but not in my large format Linhofs, which did have the best rangefinders of that time.

Still, I experimented, as did most creative photographers of the time, to compensate for lack of focus precision and understanding of that precision.
