This ever so slightly blurred photo was taken at dusk during a demonstration on the Kurfurstendamm before I realized just how dark it was getting (The rest of the photos, taken after this one are fine).

Berlin is very far north and the sun sets quite early in mid-afternoon during winter, rising again in the wee hours or morning, just about when most bars close.

Still, this photo during this demonstration shows the view down the great Kurfurstendamm towards the ruined/rebuilt church at its Apex, and must be included. The usually ubiquitous police presence is also 
clearly to be seen. It was a thrilling, and dangerous time.
