Harkness Ballet soloist Brunilda Ruiz performs "Feast of Ashes"

Principal Brunilda Ruiz as Adela, the youngest daughter. As her solo progresses, Adela's passion for her sister's fiancee unfolds. Choreographer Alvin Ailey created a searing solo that told Adela's story with intense facial and hand gestures- all performed while seated on a chair. Ms Ruiz, a superb dancer/actress held her audiences spellbound.
